Our new math unit is on area and perimeter. Parents should have received a letter in last week's Thursday folder telling you more information.
-Area: the number of square units needed to cover a region
-Perimeter: the distance around an object
Students will learn how to find the area of simple rectangular shapes as well as parallelograms and triangles. They will be able to differentiate and relate perimeter and area. Please make sure your child is completing their homework.
I can't belive we skipped all those topics!
