Bound Predicates

Students have learned what bound predicate words are.  Bound predicates require a completer; They cannot stand alone in a sentence.  The completers can be predicate expanders, equal to the subject, a receiver of the action, a subject describer, or an action predicate.  Bound predicates are diagrammed in a special way.  The bound predicate words are:

may
might
must
be
being
been
can
could
would
should
have
has
had
will
shall
do
does
did
grow
remain
appear
become
seem or stay
